The problem is i spent countless hours calling several us toyota dealers and even toyota usa, and they all say they can't do it. Glitch in digital gauges affects several models from automaker toyota is sticking some of its owners with a $500 bill to replace their odometers to fix a glitch that prevents the instrument from rolling over 300,000 km, reports ctv news Now i can't comment on the miles and kilometers because i haven't swapped between the two

I assume now you want the car to read in kilometers so what you can do is compare the odometer dumps between the two to see if there's a certain hex character in the program that differs (once you've decoded the odometer and trip counters).
I have a mint 2001 corolla s that i brought to the us from canada after my mother passed away recently
I would love to swap out the instrument cluster to reflect miles instead of kilometers The issue is that the existing car has only 55,000 kilometers on it Is there a way to take a new. Recently, i started the navigation a saw that it transfered from kilometers to miles without any changes done by me
Now, i am looking to switch back to kilometers and can't find how All other informations in the cluster and the othe display are in kilometer (fuel consumption in km, odometer is in km) Can't find any info on the internet. It was at this moment that i realized that 340 times 0.62 equals 210… there are 62 miles in 100 kilometers… my odometer is recording in kilometers and has been since before i got the pink slip
Various forums had suggested that pressing down on the trip reset and turning clockwise a few times would resolve the issue
Who knows what toyota's algorithm is for the miles to empty But, i've found that after about 100km on a fresh tank the distance traveled + distance to empty starts to get more and more accurate based on my tank average fuel consumption. The simple way is to swap the odometer/speedometer sub assembly But that won’t work if you are going from miles to kilometers, so you’ll have to open the clusters up to reprogram the chip
This is the eeprom chip that stores the odometer and trip computer information Desolder the chip it’s a 93c46 microwire eeprom chip: 604365 miles 2018 toyota sienna xle and still going strong I don't see a way to change the temperature settings from f to c, though
I went into the general settings on the 12 screen and changed it from f to c, but that seemed to have no effect.
