Future city inspires students around the world to solve complex problems through engineering, creativity and teamwork. Using the engineering design process (edp) and project management skills, students showcase their solutions to a citywide sustainability issue This year’s challenge asks students to d esign a city that eliminates food waste from farm to table and keeps your citizens healthy and safe. Teams spend approximately four months creating cities that could exist at least 100 years in the future. The competition uses the engineering design process as a framework to guide students through the creation of their cities.
