I did/was able to setup and test basic functionality in seconds Hi guys, i was using rust desk for a few months, and all of a sudden i get this message, and now i can't connect to my pc I decided to do a guide on the installation as the docs are minimal at best and all over the place

My setup uses docker to configure the rust server and host the webui

Rust desk on ios all machines have orange dot On my pc's and mac's rust desk clients show green when online On the ios application for iphone all the dots next the machines show orange like they are offline I can connect to them fine though on the phone
Is there something i can do so i can tell if those machines are online or not on ios? I considered it (i am utterly in disgust with anydesk and teamviewer as of late), but uninstalled it again after a few days after digging up its past
They are an obvious teamviewer in early stages in regards to commercialisation, abusing the open source term for commercial gains (it is incredibly obvious), and are still shutting down people. I am now a dedicated nomachine user, just waiting for them to release their real alternative to teamviewer, anydesk and rust Can you expand on what you mean by real alternative Is it missing some features that they have What's its story with nat traversal etc

I was reading through some comments and posts on the subreddit and i think there's a common misconception about what the server's role is There are technically two servers Signaling server relay server as long as rustdesk is running on a machine, the machine is constantly pinging the signaling server to make its current ip address and. On each client, open the rust desk software and go into your client settings
Go to the network section You'll have to 'unlock' it and then for id server you put in the ip of your host In the key section you copy your key you got You can ignore relay/api server stuff
Do this on every client that wants to connect to each other
Rust desk requires a license to have a simple address book to easy access your computers Price is almost the same as teamviewer that make no sense because you will have to host the server application Ok its more secure but not cheaper. Maybe you can modify the opensource code to implement an address book.
