I am wanting to purchase a new espresso machine to upgrade from the mr However, speaking to my local cafe owner, who retails a few breville products, i was told that i should steer clear of that machine How to get this plastic piece out of the breville barista express

Yes i know it doesn't go in here, my dad in his infinite wisdom insisted he didn't need help making coffees this morning, and now it's stuck
Is there a known method to getting it out or are we screwed?
Breville barista express, a newbie review the short version I use this daily, and i actually like my homemade cappuccino (technically, the ratios i use are probably closer to a latte) better than the ones in my local coffee shops I never saw that coming. I bought the barista express back in august 2018, and have led myself down the coffee/espresso rabbit hole ever since, infinitely on the quest for better coffee.

So after reading several reviews of the breville barista touch impress, it seemed to be a good machine for us The older barista express models have an opv, but breville set it very high, around 14 bars, probably to give better results with a dual wall basket
The latest model barista express, as well as the barista pro, bambino and bambino plus, come with their opv correctly set for 9 bars. I was thinking of upgrading to a breville barista express (~$500cad) because it had a built in grinder
