I am using a dell latitude 3510 i could always see the external drive in file explorer, but could not access it to send files. At one point the led light had begun to blink normally, and that is when it showed up in devices and printers with the proper icon 1909 this is the second day of having my new dell g15 laptop

I have two identical samsung 2tb external hard drives
I want to connect two drives to transfer some files from one to another
The other drive does not show It could be the drivers need updating but using 'device manager' it says they are up to. External hard drive not showing a drive letter i have an external hard drive enclosure that i normally use with an a 250gb sata hdd for backups But i also have another sata hdd (a 500gb one) that i recently took out of my laptop that i replaced with an ssd
The hdd still was good, and has an active os on it. Win 10 pro thread starter 27 nov 2020 #4 plugged it back in to the tv and can browse and access files, rebooted the pc and plugged in and get a j is not accessible acces s denied i changed the drive letter and get the same message. I purchased a usb to sata connector, connected it to another windows 10 pc's usb port The external hard drive that i removed from my other pc is not showing in windows file manager.

The other 2 are 1tb internal 2.5 i am using a caddy for also connected via usb It used to work recently and then it just stopped for all disks When i insert a usb drive, i get an entry pop up under network. Laptop won't recognize ide drive connected through usb adapter i'm trying to recover pictures and files from an old pc drive
Drives that show up on explorer don't connect. System cannot find hard drive to put system image on greetings, i have a new rig I want to make a backup system image to another drive (3gb sata) It works well (gaming drive)
And is seen by win 10 in file explorer and otherwise works
But the system backup windows cannot find it I hit the refresh option and it does not show up. I am attempting to create a back up of my hard drive on to a usb drive, but when i click add a drive, i get no usable drives found. from what i've found on google, this typically means the drive is not formatted.
