When i travel in europe i use a capital one debit card that is tied to my capital one 360 checking account Normally i have all of my money in the capital one money market interest earning savings account When i am ready to travel i transfer funds from the savings to the 360 checking account to make them available to the debit card.
Capital one fraud alerts drive me crazy
Whenever i want to pay for, say, a hotel in europe (for purposes of reimbursement from my employer), i now have to call fraud alert in advance to tell them when a charge will be made and and how much, or risk the card being declined. The search screen on capital one's website includes the allpoint logo, and yet i couldn't get search results for within the uk If you don't have the capital one card yet, i would question them about their network availability If you bank somewhere else, your bank might very well belong to an international atm network as does mine.
