Bombay high court on thursday paved the way for redevelopment of a large swathe of 141 acres of mhada land in goregaon (west), known as motilal nagar — the largest mhada colony redevpt — and disposed of a pilfiled in 2013 against the rampant illegal construction in the colony. On monday, july 7th, a significant step was taken towards the transformation of motilal nagar i, ii, and iii in goregaon, with the signing of the construction and development agency (c&da) agreement between the maharashtra housing and area development authority (mhada) and adani realty. The project received the occupation certificate on april 1, 2025, and will provide 686 parking spaces, with one parking space per flat.
