The ride itself is still done through the rideshare app in the normal way
The app is free, but both rider and driver are charged a fee when rides are arranged The real fee is going to be $2.95 each, but currently it is only $.99. I firmly believe that uzurv, as is, will fail They are not partnered or affiliated with uber or lyft
I hope uzurv has some good lawyers and/or lobbyists I would argue that they're still operating within the law in virginia, as the tnc (uber) is still the one matching the rider with the driver When the reserved driver arrives at the pickup point, they should ideally be the closest driver and thus be the one pinged by uber at that point. Uzurv lets the pax pick the car and driver they want and what service they require or want.ie regular lyft or uber x or xl or plus etc.lyft only allows regular lyfts to be scheduled and pax doesnt know who the driver is just like a normal ride, also theres no extra incentive for pickup or tip like uzurv has with their incentive.
The driver receives the ping as normal, but with indication that they may have to wait a bit more than the standard 5 minutes if they arrive early
I'm in no way saying that the lyft system is better than uzurv, but there is no creepy stalking, and there is no charge to the driver. They are the best and most professional drivers around They transport riders door to door wherever they may need to go Shopping, doctor appointments, to visit friends, to run errands, to buy groceries, to visit museums, to a show, or attend to other daily needs outside the home.
Lyft, incidentally, has a beta driver's app being tested which sort of provides the same thing as uzurv, and one driver i've read really likes it Eventually both companies will have this capability right in their apps. Uzurv could eliminate the problem At $3.00/per booking, uzurv is very inexpensive as a marketing channel
My customer acquisition costs are high
And, the low booking fees will discourage drivers from stealing customers There's greater value using the uzurv system, than in trying to go around it. Uzurv started in our market with three reservations On one, the driver overslept
