I'm trying to convert my game from.gba format to.sav, and vice versa, so that i could jump easily between emulation and native gameplay Please help i’ve tried looking everywhere and i have no clue how to code but there has to be a fix for this archived post However i haven't found much success with the conversion tool you've made.

I'm interested in doing some data mining and messing around with.sav files for games, but i'm not quite sure where to begin I can convert the.sav binary file to hex, but i'm not quite sure how to go from there. Run the conversion tool from requirement 4 to convert the.sav files to.json open the oldlevel.sav.json file created (it will probably be very large, but notepad++ worked for me) and search for the first 8 chars from step 5 if it doesn't find those characters, try again with an even older backup (if you don't have one, you're probably sol) I'd like to know if it's possible to convert a save of a 3ds game from the.sav format to.bin, so i can use that save in checkpoint
I figured i'd ask here I can only find a.sav version of the game i'm looking for, and i don't know how to make use of a.sav file. As other have said,.sav in unreal context is just an extension name, it doesn't have file format/specification (mostly, since it still has some stuff for the raw usavegame object deserialization) So it's entirely project dependent
Some games may simply use the.sav extension and skip unreal save game objects altogether.
The game exports into a.dsz file and desmume on pc uses.dsv files Is there anyway to convert between the two Or at least convert.dsz into a.sav
