Windows 98 has been running pretty well in virtualbox, but with the latest motherboard and virtualbox updates, it has not been possible
Motherboard is now intel 11th gen, 32gb ram, nvme drives and virtualbox 6.1.42. Virtualbox uses an emulated graphics card not your actual hardware so there is no need nor are you able to install the host machine driver But in this forum, i see a lot of references to nvidia drivers Is this person suggesting installing drivers for windows?
Help with 'windows cannot read the <productkey> setting from the unattend answer file' Went to the c:\program files\oracle\virtualbox\drivers\vboxdrv directory, right clicked on vboxdrv.inf and selected install I then went back to my console and typed 'sc start vboxdrv' and got this: Hi everyone, i recently upgraded to virtualbox 7.1.0
I’m running a windows 11 guest on an ubuntu 24.04 host system
After the upgrade, i’m no longer able to use 3d acceleration (the vm works fine without it) When i enable 3d acceleration and launch the machine, the screen just turns black I’ve attached the associated log file Does anyone know what might be wrong
Other entries related to guest additions also suggest that features normally supported by guest additions aren't fully functional, which may be down to a conflict with virtualbox 7.0.8, or an issue with 6.1.38 that may have been corrected in a later version
