Mac recognizes that it is plugged into an external display (i think) but the dell does not change from its own windows computer screen I wanted to make people aware of scams going around that are using the leaked dell information I have tried playing with display.

Help this is the third time this happens to me with a brand new, expensive dell laptop
It seriously affects my workday
At some point during the night, the laptop decides to update its firmware, and gets itself stuck at zero, until the morning when i arrive at the office Now, i have no way of starting the computer, as it wont power down. I was just tired of dell and also microsoft, both forcing you into modern standby, which never worked, doesnt work, and will not ever work reliable on windows, compared to 100% working and reliable s3 (suspend to ram) sleep. Dell has some lineups that are good quality, some areas of their support are good (enterprise/if you pay a ton), but their software is making the experience of using the machines kinda awful.
Truehey guys, i've looked all over google for this with no success so i thought i'll give it a shot here I was running low on space so i did a windirstat scan and i found out this huge folder that i had never seen before and to my eyes, it looks useless I have a 7680 which comes with a 240w power adapter in the box I have a 120w power adapter and this does charge the 7680 (albeit with a windows warning about slow charging), whilst a 65w one does not
But dell customer service will almost always recommend supportassist
According to my experience, sa takes up more space and ram than dell update, and the probability of sa crashing is higher than dell update On my device, sa keeps crashing, especially when multiple tasks are running at the same time, whereas dell update never crashes. Dell fucked up my pc last night (bit of an older model, 17r2) by pushing out an update for supportassist that made my pc freeze up and test the fans (left, then right) like it would in the real fan test Basically, they fucked up something they made
Guess what was causing it Dell data vault (part of supportassist) and when i deleted supportassist These are red flags to me that this is a scam The caller did have my name, phone number, email address, and history of my previous purchases at dell
