Anorexia nervosa is a real, serious illness that affects thousands upon millions of people daily The people that have this illness are not attention seekers, they are not dare devils, and telling us to just eat is not helpful in any way shape of form This is a safe place for those with this illness, and for those that are in recovery Violating this safe place will end up as a permeant.

Basically, like others have said the body is amazingly resilient and can get used to insane conditions. Once i finally realized i was anorexic, i chose recovery, because it seemed like the sensible thing to do for someone who is anorexic
