However, i`m confident that most early 42's were reliable, or they would have gone the way of the remington r51 I understand the glock perfection cannot be applied to every pistol that has every rolled off the assembly line, but i feel that the glock platform is the ak of handguns. I don't know, g43 beta vs r51 v1.r2 Give the glock a year in the wild and it will be the hands down winner
Click to expand.maybe the g43 has actually been more thoroughly tested Could be glock released the 42 first to hold people over while they finished the 43 I bet its been in the works for longer than a year. The r51 is about 1/4 longer and the same height as the shield w/the 8 round extended magazine
With the flush magazine, the shield is shorter
