Ysl looks more practical and hard wearing and more comfortable handle I bought this bag 2 years and 8 months ago, and although i don’t use it daily, i always store it properly and take good care of it Aesthetically and quality still bv for me but you cannot go wrong with either

I'm hoping the quality of the bag will hold up for years and years, but in cases where there is peeling or cracking of the glazing, will they repair.
The ysl envelope and cassandre pouches look gorgeous online, but when i saw them in person, the cassandre in particular had this plastic feel to it, with sharp edges that scratched me when i put my hand through the wrist strap. The ysl muse is more structured and classic, while the balenciaga is a little more rocker chic, especially with the giant hardware They both would do for an overnight bag If you have the chance, try them out in person to see which one works for you.
