Quincy is notable as the home of the celebrated adams family. Nestled in between the 22 hills of the blue hills reservation and 27 miles of coastline along boston harbor and the harbor islands, the area we know of today as the city of quincy has always been a center of human activity and innovation. The park features a bronze statue of quincy adams by sculptor sergey eylanbekov, who also created the city’s statues of john hancock, abigail adams, and john adams. A wave of reform candidates won big on tuesday night, achieving a majority on the city council and two of three seats up on school committee.
