Gentlemen, i have a collection of reloading bookmarks encompassing a wide variety of handgun load data, both new and old I've attached ballistics pdf on subsonic loads Everybody here has a similar.

With clays and claydot powder being really scarce and other old faithful powders in short supply i ran across perfect pattern gunpowder from hodgdon which is readily available.
My brother in law has a 189.
That being said, there is a load in the hodgdon load data that’s available online that will work very well for cowboy Look under 1oz loads with sts hulls and perfect pattern powder The one i tested used a cheddite primer and is 970fps The stack height is correct and they crimp very nicely
And they shoot nicely too I don’t have any chronograph data but i’ve been using perfect pattern for a few matches I’m using remington sts hulls, 7/8 oz grey claybuster wads, 1 oz shot, 11 gr perfect pattern powder and a 209 cheddite primer. It takes down the knockdowns and i’ve had 2 cowboys try it and they though it kicked less than winchester aa featherlites.
Got the new supplies in for a bit of reloading and was curious if folks had load data for titegroup for 45lc
Per hodgdon this is what they recommend Cast lrnfp manufacturerhodgdon powdertitegroup bullet diam.452 c.o.l.1.600. It is for a jacketed bullet, so pressures will be higher than with a lead or coated bullet. I have a extensive collection of powders so recommend away
The hodgdon site still lists loads for waalite, but it is no longer manufactured You can find data for subsonic loads, and they will recoil less than a standard 1200 fps load, but the 980 load was and is a one off load
