I wanted to diy install and ensure it was a no splice/no cutting wires because my first car had shorts in the wiring that i still have nightmares about I have both the key fobs and up until recently they would both start the ody remotely I was curious if a one way starter would be sufficient

Also, will i still have to carry two fobs in order to use the automatic sliding door functionality.
My wife has a 2015 honda odyssey that we bought used, and does not have the remote start feature
She has become envious of me with my remote start for my truck, and i figured i would look into adding one for her Is there a recommended remote start kit for the odyssey When we upgraded from the accord to the odyssey because of a growing family, i ordered a new remote start system while waiting at the dealer. I noticed on the build your honda website that the remote start option for the 2014 odyssey is now called the remote engine start system ii
Other than the remote fob being a different shape, does anyone have information on the changes from the system available for the 2013 models From what i read, the previous system seemed awkward to use. The honda app will start my 2018 canadian touring (us elite) maybe 50 percent of the time This cold newfoundland morning it will neither start nor unlock the van
Which is unfortunate as the only set of keys i have access to are locked in the vehicle
Which is not supposed to be able to happen in the first place Be very wary of the remote. The reason i bought the honda remote start If there's an electrical or starting problem with the vehicle, honda will blame the third party remote starter manufacturer and vice versa
That's a headache i don't need. Does anyone have experience with something like this Hopefully the hive mind can help me with an issue that just started
