I personally am a bakudeku shipper and i think that most people ship them in the cute way and not in the abusive and aggressive way, people that do are completely wrong for romanticizing abuse.
Bakudeku has 1338 more works on pixiv than ao3, but bakudeku has about 38k works on pixiv and 37k on ao3, so the difference is basically very very small
It seems instead that all the other ships are more popular in western fandoms than pixiv, with the exclusion of todomomo and kamijirou that have very very small differences. 15k subscribers in the yagami_yato community A subreddit for the fans of the asmr youtuber, yagami yato and her work I get that bakudeku shippers don't ship them because they're toxic (that would be stupid, right?), but it just makes no sense to people who don't ship it
And, it's not like you can dissuade someone once their mind is set on hating something I haven’t seen any decent bakudeku fanfics yet, all of the ones i’ve seen has bakugou being super ooc So, give me your best ones! Tbh, the bakudeku anti shippers are way more toxic and awful to interact with than the actual shippers themselves as they police this content and harass and bully those that make fan content
It is refreshing to see a community break down this gross fandom policing and even provide evidence for why people ship what they ship
