A few of our external contacts get a 'winmail.dat' attachment with every email we send, combining itself with any attachments These contacts use @tiscali.co.uk and @gmail.com email addresses, the tiscali address afaik uses talktalk webmail to access the account, the gmail account uses an apple mail client (type unknown by user). Problem with winmail.dat file attachments when my wife sends me email to my home email from her outlook 2010 work email address and attaches a document, the attached document always arrives in my home email as a winmail.dat attachment and is unreadable
If she sends the same email with the same attachment to my work email, no problem. ํ๋์ ๋ฉ์ผ์ ์์ ์๋ฅผ A, B๋ก ์ ๋ ฅํ์ฌ ์์๋ฃฉ์์ ๋ฐ์กํ๋๋ฐ, ์์ ์ A๋ winmail.dat ํ์ผ์ด ์๊ณ , ์์ ์ B๋ winmail.dat๊ฐ ์์ด ๋ฉ์ผ์ด ์ ์์ ์ผ๋ก ํ์. No one i email uses outlook 2016 but me
I searched the posts for winmail.dat and see people being told to set it to plain text or html Some were even told regedit and equally complicated technical things. I am using microsoft office standard 2016 & have recently found from some of my email recipients that email attachments i am sending from my outlook account are being received as winmail.dat
