As previously stated in this thread, oxycodone and oxycontin are the exact same drug, the only difference being that oxycontin is the continuous release version
They actually come in the same or similar doses, but it takes 12hrs for the release of the latter, whereas the former is referred to as immediate release, meaning the entire dosage hits your system as you digest it, but it also starts.
