The mortlake bess connection is a landmark in the country’s clean energy journey, enabling deeper integration of renewables and reinforcing grid stability Spanning 1,060 hectares in mortlake, the $700 million brightnight project features 360 mw of solar generation capacity and a 300 mw battery energy storage system. Each transformer, measuring around 9m long and 2.5m wide, can handle up to 180mva of electrical load.
