The biggest difference to me is the lack of the wind proof layer and the type of insulation I would prefer to stick with the same camo although i primarily hunt deer in missouri and illinois Both the jacket and pant have 8ozs of fill.

Is it great gear, and is it excellent for mountain hunting For the type of hunting i do, which is very active, it excels. The sitka also works a lot better than badlands in crappy weather conditions, blowing snow, rain and when the weather changes while hunting The badlands stuff is cheaper but you can’t beat having a jacket that blocks the wind and pants that keep your backside from getting wet while waiting in your stand.
