I like to believe that i have made many contributions to the field of biomedical and health informatics over the years, but i suspect the one that will most define my legacy in the field is the conceptualization and implementation of the first and still flagship course of the american medical informatics association (amia) 10×10 program. Fortunately the american medical informatics association (amia) is undertaking a practice analysis of informatics work, so additional information about the workforce will be coming by the end of this year It should be noted that some may view the employment growth in healthcare it as a negative, especially due to its added cost.
