After i do that, when turbotax prompts me, i enter ed ward jones from the drop down box and my consolidated statement downloads into my desktop software When i try to import so all of the information automatically goes where it should tt asks for a 24 character tracking number. I did it a week ago and it worked.

Edward jones is one of turbotax's import partners, so you should definitely have the ability to import your information

Note that it seems like it might take a day or two for this password change and/or the two factor authentication change to cascade through the system. These are not special characters or odd figures i can and do long on just fine to the edward jones web pages I have found no help from turbo tax. Import 1099 from edward jones not working tt 2024 goes through the steps and doesn't report any issues but the data import from edward jones system does not update in tt I have successfully imported from other financial institutions without issue
