Fake tanning in the uk, even in london, is/was a thing and for some reason over the years it became a standard of everyday beauty care equivalent to wearing a mascara and blow drying your hair. There may of course be some truth to these descriptions but surely every county has it’s dodgier areas and to label the whole of essex this way is absolutely ridiculous.
