I use ttv lol for chrome, it works and usually when twitch updates something to break it the creator is able to get it working again to block ads It's available for firefox also. I have used all the extensions and scripts people mention below for years As of the last few days, it appears twitch updated their anti adblock so though these do block ads, the stream stays black forever
So far the only thing i've found to work right now is the very unpleasant last resort of an alternative player. I've got adblock and ublock and have no problems with anything except twitch and have had problems with twitch for months now
