I’m assuming the swarovski glass is. This design is the result of a collaboration between a number of leupold’s top competitive shooters, including john pynch, dan bertocchini, and doug koenig. The reticle on the leupold is quite difficult to see at the bottom of the magnification range, but that doesn’t matter if you’re wanting to shoot longer distance frequently The vortex is certainly more geared towards the hunting market and the mk4 is definitely more of a shooting optic.
I hope this serves as both clarification of the warning and as a starting point for further discussion of evidence Leupold mark iv scopes have always served me well, as they have many others, and the many misinterpretations of the warning are hurting the reputation of these optics as well as the resale value for those of us selling or trading. I like that they offer a free turret With the v4 you have to have it made at your. I just want to make sure if i am dropping an extra 600~ on a scope that it will be well worth it on this rifle. As some of yall already know, the mark 5 leupold scopes are extremely popular and have been dominating in rifle matches all over the country
The only improvement request i’ve heard is the windage dial is a pain I decided to make a replacement dial for the scope to help this issue The guy seemed to put the scope through its paces and it held it's zero
