Cleopatra is largely known for her relationships with julius caesar and mark antony, as well as her role in the rise of the first roman emperor, augustus. Although arguably the most famous egyptian queen, cleopatra was actually greek and a member of the ptolemaic dynasty (323 to 30 bce) which ruled egypt after the death of alexander the great (lived 356 to 323 bce).
