This case does not and did not support the pistol adequately during transit but luckily this did not harm the pistol
( no smith and wesson stock was harmed in the making of these no lock mountain guns in 2025)

Except in very few cases, actual production dates by serial number are not available Approximate production dates for postwar guns have been published, most notably in the standard catalog of smith & wesson
The 5th edition is the most recent and is available on amazon. It is in great shape, i am very happy The only negative is the cylinder release is a little stiff I have a 642 and a gp100 that are much easier to release
