After talking to an at&t rep over chat, it sounds like the at&t package is only good for talk and text at sea, but if i want to go to cnn and read an article, or check the weather, i have to use carn. We will be on the october 6 sailing of the prima and have several ports but i still like to be safe on board At&t has started a cruise package so you can use your phone while cruising without incurring all the roaming fees, etc
Milana Vayntrub (AT&T girl) : transitiongoals
I was just pricing it, and it is cheaper than the social media package on carnival
Has anyone used the at&t package yet
How did it work for you? We are cruising (with celebrity) with 8 family members and want to be able to text or call each other while on the ship We all have at&t and all have iphones Is it necessary we purchase one of the cruise plans with at&t
I see people mention cheaper ways to stay in touch with others on. Expand not clear if it connects to the wifi or thru cellular after reading the info I have att and have only used the daily international on land service at $10/24 hours. I've only accidentally picked up roaming charges on st john, never st
However, to cover yourself, just go onto your att account and activate the foreign day pass option
Then at most you will only be charged $10 for a 24 hour period of roaming. Starting in april 2025, at&t revamped its international land and cruise packages I never used the at&t cruise package before because i was concerned about the data overages That is now gone (although they slow you to a crawl after 500mb)
I have an android phone and carnival blocks wifi. We left att about 5 years ago for t mobile, the prices are significantly better, especially for seniors and veterans Far superior overall service for world travelers. When i get to a port i just turn on my data and take phone off airplane mode, and get charged $10 for 24 hours
I am once again weighing the options of going with the at&t cruise internet package versus adding extra ncl internet minutes
